Becoming Fertile Soil

Growing Healing Through Grace: Where Farm Life Builds Therapeutic Foundation

SEK's Mission

Camp SEK offers a unique agricultural therapeutic model that combines the healing power of farm life with comprehensive clinical care. Our program is built on a foundation of agricultural life and Christian values, where the rhythms of everyday living and routines of farm life, animal care, crop cultivation, and land stewardship—become meaningful opportunities for growth and healing.

Our Integrated Approach

At Camp SEK, we believe that agriculture provides both the metaphor and the method for healing. Every farm activity becomes a therapeutic opportunity, guided by the partnership of trained professionals who understand how to integrate agricultural work with clinical best practices. Our participants develop trust, confidence, resilience, and purpose while discovering their potential through meaningful work and Christian centered community life.

Founding Story

Camp SEK’s origins are deeply rooted in the founders’ personal journey through grief and their profound understanding that “healing happens in community.” Keath and his wife recognized that suffering can isolate people, particularly children, making them feel alone in their pain.

What is a Therapeutic Intensive?

SEK’s therapeutic approach balances adventure with healing through various experiential methods. Their comprehensive program includes agriculture therapy, where children engage with farm life and learn through hands-on work with the land. The program incorporates pet therapy, equine therapy, and farm-to-table nutrition education, connecting healing with the natural world.

Is Camp SEK the Right Choice for My Child?

We are committed to the success of every camper.

Prior to admission, each child will undergo an initital evaluation and family review with our clinical therapy team.

SEK’s Mission is to help adolescents and their families find healing through sharing and empowerment through agricultural farm life and adventure-based experiential therapies. Participants of SEK Intensives will learn how to create balance through focusing on relationship connections and healing from adverse childhood experiences. SEK celebrates healing and mending broken pieces together.

I walked away from the camp with a different perspective and learned some useful techniques to manage depression more effectively.
