We will start each day with a meditation and a message using farming and teachings from the Bible. Each camper will be placed in a small group that will function as your child’s family for the week. Small groups will go through five rotations each day to learn more about the message through different modalities.
What is a Therapeutic Intensive?
SEK is a Therapeutic Intensive and NOT a traditional summer camp.
A therapeutic intensive is a place to step away from the obstacles of daily life and gain a new perspective on life. Our intensives have a dual focus: we want your child to have fun while learning how to deal with the problems that are preventing them from living their best life. Research suggests that the more adverse childhood experiences we have, the more likely we are to suffer from a DSM-V diagnosis. Thankfully, traumas (adverse childhood experiences) are treatable and if dealt with early and effectively we can prevent children from having long-term mental health problems in the future.

We balance therapy and adventure using experiential approaches, farmlife recreational activities, and teachings of men and women from the Bible who struggled.
SEK Experientials will include:
-
Psychodrama

Art therapy
